Rehomed! - Alex or ‘Al’ as he’s known to all here at the rescue!

Al is a 6 year old White & Black male greyhound. (Needs to be with a female greyhound)

He is quite shy until he gets to know you, then he is extremely cheeky!

He really adores his food and treats and loves to play but he does need company and someone to be in often as he does still struggle a little with his confidence. We have worked on this with him and he has made remarkable progress - all down to him giving us humans a chance! He needs someone to continue to give him that love and security.

He’s looking for his forever home after a long time getting him back his trust in humans!

And wow, has he turned into the most wonderful, fantastic, charming, kind boy!

Just an amazing dog!

Whoever decides to give Al a chance of a sofa will be the luckiest human!

He’s just a lovely 6 year old boy!

He didn’t have the best start & was the most nervous, terrified boy when he first walked into our kennels so much so that Karen said she had not seen such a case like him in years.

And so the work began with Karen & Al… and she taught him what kindness was & how to play & trust.

Then something magical happened.. a point we never imagined when we first met Al!

Al actually came on our annual sponsored walk & met numerous other dogs, people & he loved every second of it!

He did also fall in love with another blue female greyhound ‘Lexi’ & her with him but she is already rehomed & so their love was just for the day! (He doe get to see her occasionally as she visits 4 times a year)!

So he is a big hit with the lady greyhounds.

Al does love human company but needs to be with a female greyhound & needs a calm going on. He does not like a lot of shouting or hectic situations so better suited to a quiet house with no children.

Not cat tested.

If anyone is interested if offering him a home with a female greyhound then contact;

enquiries@greyhoundrescue.org.uk - please include your details including address and contact number.

Al laid with Lexi on sponsored walk!

Al meeting and greeting his people - now very relaxed!

Sam has been Re-homed

Sam is a 3 year old blue male who is very calm, kind and loves to relax.

His goal in life is to find the perfect human/s to give him that special love and attention that all greyhounds want and good food, a nice little walk (as long as no rain etc or he will wait at home for you), and a bit of fun time playing would be a bonus but once he’s had enough he may possibly have to borrow your sofa and even your bed from time to time to chill out.

If you think you can meet Sams needs and you have no other pets then please contact Karen or Dawn on 07811 296029 or email enquiries@greyhoundrescue.org.uk

Please give your name address including postcode and a contact number.

We do require people to have a secure back garden with 5ft to 6 ft fencing - fully secure.

We also currently have to consider areas due to Covid travel restrictions.

We are based in Boston, Lincolnshre.

Meet Rubin - Re-homed

Rubin is a Blue Brindle 5 & half year old gorgeous male greyhound.

Yes, he is stunning, yes he is handsome, yes he is striking and yes, he is up for adoption, to the right person. No cats please and no other pets. No children and we want an experienced greyhound owner.

Rubin is a lovely boy who adores people. He is good on lead but is alert if sees something in distance so this is why we need experience, which is true of many greyhounds but we always need people to remember - they can see things we can’t! - even if it is just a carrier bag! The outside world from racing is all new to them and so until they settle, with some, we need to just be more aware of this.

He is extremely clean in kennels and an absolute pleasure to have around.

In fact, I will be honest - I would keep him but we don’t have room in the house! But I want him!!! So hurry up before I find room!!!

Anyone interested then call 07811 296029 or email dawn@greyhoundrescue.org.uk or enquiries@greyhoundrescue.org.uk

Misty - Has been re-homed!

Please can anyone help - looking for a foster home which can lead to adoption if so wished for by right home?

Misty is a 3 year old female greyhound who has been in a home for las 2 years. She is fawn and very pretty and loves people.

She is however very ‘foody’ and so needs to be an only pet. This is her only issue and why we would prefer an experienced owner with no other pets or children.

We really don’t want her to come back into kennels as she is a very loving girl and this just wouldn’t be fair to her but the owner has been taken ill and this may be unavoidable unless we can sort a foster home extremely urgently.

Please contact Karen or Dawn on 07811 296029 or email dawn@greyhoundrescue.org.uk
